If off-roading is your thing, Maine has several snowmobile and ATV marked trails throughout Maine. Twin Hills Camps has direct access to ITS 112, 81 and 85 trails from our camp. See below for more reference information about this fun and exciting adventure!
ITS112, 81, and 85. Connects to more than 1600 miles of maintained trails in Aroostook County alone and over 10,000 miles connected in Maine.
Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife have resources (maps, trail markers, etc) for ATV and Snowmobile trails.
The Maine Snowmobile Association maintains maps of the main trails as well as the connector trails. We have access to connector trail 112, 81 and 85. View the Katahdin Area Snowmobile Trail Map for more info.

Check out our cabin (The Otter Nook) for your stay along the ITS 112, 81 and 85 trails. We have easy access to these trails from our cabin.
Snowmobiling is certainly fun and its always best to be prepared for the Maine Weather. We recommend warm clothing such as wool or moisture wicking materials. Gloves and facemask are essential as well as goggles and helmet. Warm, comfortable boots are also highly recommended.
